The Holidays

Well, the holidays are finally over and its time for the kids to go back to school and the husband to go back to work. Don't get me wrong I enjoy christmas and having my kids at home, but after 2 weeks its time for them to go back and I can get back to my me time. We had a really nice christmas. Christmas Eve was spent at my parents house opening gifts and chatting with family. It was nice. We then ventured back home and had to get the kids in bed before Santa could arrive. Christmas morning was spent opening gifts and cleaning up paper. My husband and I hosted christmas dinner this year. We had a house full and it was great. I always enjoy family time together. New Years Eve was spent at my aunt and uncles house, we had all the good fixings and played a game of Phase 10 and then we watched old home movies and watched the ball drop. I had a surprise call on new years day, my ex husbands wife called and wanted to talk to the kids. Let me back track a bit. I was married before to very abusive exhusband and we had 3 children together. Once we were divorced he totally forgot about his kids, which doesnt bother me any. Anyway, he married this other woman and then tried to kill her and he is currently in prison. She refused to press charges so the state only got him with felonious assault instead of attempted murder. She plans to stay with him after all this. So she called and I later realized why she called, it was nothing to do with my kids she only wanted to pump me for info on wether i recieved money in our christmas card from the exs grandmother.
Now I just finished my piled up laundry and I am fixing dinner, the kids go to bed early tonight!
